Hawzah News Agency- Some of the verses related to Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his relief) and his global revolution are as follows:
The Second Verse:
We desired to bestow a favor upon those who were oppressed in the land, and to make them leaders, and to make them the inheritors.
(Al-Qasas (28), Verse 5)
According to the words of Imam Ali (pbuh) in Nahjul-Balagha and several hadiths from other Imams (pbut), this verse refers to the victory of the oppressed over the arrogant, and that the world will ultimately belong to the righteous.
The aforementioned verse by no means speaks of a localized and specific plan concerning the Bani-Israel tribes; rather, it expresses a universal law for all eras. This is a glad tiding regarding the victory of truth over falsehood, and faith over disbelief. A more perfect example of this was the government of the Prophet of Islam (pbuh and his family) and his companions following the advent of Islam.
Furthermore, the most extensive manifestation of it will be the establishment of the government of truth and justice across the entire globe at the hands of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his relief).
This verse is among those that clearly give the glad tidings of the “emergence” of such a government; hence, the Ahlul-Bayt (pbut), in their interpretation of it, have referred to this great advent. It has been narrated from Imam Ali (pbuh) in Nahjul-Balagha:
The world, after its recalcitrance and rebellion—like a female camel that refuses to give milk to its milker and reserves it for its own young—will turn towards us…Then, he recited the verse: «وَ نُرِیدُ أَنْ نَمُنَّ عَلَی الَّذِینَ…» (And We desired to bestow a favor upon those…).
(Saying 209)
In another hadith, Imam Ali (pbuh) says in the interpretation of the aforementioned verse:
This group is the progeny of Muhammad (pbuh and his family). Allah will raise their Mahdi after the hardship and pressure inflicted upon them; He will grant them honor and will humiliate their enemies.
